Writing

I’m a versatile writer specializing in creative content, grant applications, and essays in both Dutch and English. Over the years, I’ve helped several artists, curators, and institutions secure funding from organizations such as the Mondrian Fund, AFK Amsterdam, Amarte and CBK Rotterdam. I've contributed to outlets like Mister Motley Magazine, Lost&Found Amsterdam, and Holy Male Magazine. In 2016, I published my debut novel, My Wavy Sarong. I also maintain an online blog on art, ecology and culture; Dripstone.

Whether you need a compelling proposal, creative writing, or expert funding guidance, I’m here to help. Get in touch for convincing, impactful writing that supports your artistic vision.

My Wavy Sarong

My Wavy Sarong, self-published, 128 pgs, 17,5 x 11 cm, Softcover (sleeve), 2016, 978-90-825277 0-4, Edition of 500. Distribution: Antenne Books.

In 2016, I published my first semi-autobiographical novel, My Wavy Sarong, which is an animistic and sensual short novel in which the reality of a white western youngster with shamanic aspirations ( 'T' ) meets up with the current reality of Indonesia while on an artistic research holiday. A deeply reflexive adventure that brings art and imagination to the fore as a process of reconciling worlds that sit uncomfortably together.

On the Cosmic Journey of a Body

Download PDF here.

In 2013, I published On the Cosmic Journey of a Body or The Political Agency of a Sensitive Digestion. A semi-autobiographical and self-published booklet, ed. 15.

The novelette seeks an understanding of queer ritual magic and precepts like the Wounded Healer. The account takes place between a trip in Iceland, where I was looking for faeries, and my time spent in New York city and the Fire Island Pines, with different kind of faeries. It's a collection of MFA thoughts on the body and ritual in relation to the work of AA Bronson, Alejandro Jodorowsky and late Genesis P-orridge.
